I hope you're well and your year is off to a solid start with resolutions and routines still intact! Mine's been great so far...
I really enjoyed hosting a fully-booked Strength and Conditioning for Youth Athletes online workshop at the start of the year, sharing a pre-run activation and a home workout with 50 keen coaches and athletes. Watch this space for more such support down the line...
Last weekend I headed off to the National Running Show where I was on the Running at 40+ stand promoting the next Camp Kenya trips penciled in for Feb/March 2026. I also did a talk on the Steve Cram Training Camp stand with my old uni pal Chris Thompson, giving him tips on how to improve his technique to allow him to run into old age! (Mainly for him bringing his head in line more with his spine).
Next month, I've just booked in an incredibly exciting webinar with world-renowned physio, Alison Rose (of Keely Hodgkinson, Kelly Holmes, Jess Ennis and The Brownlees!). Intriguingly, the topic she has chosen is on the rib cage! See 'Circle' section below for more details.
One of my main goals for this year is to work more closely with coaches to help them in supporting their athletes. To that end I am in the process of creating an affiliate programme whereby coaches get free access to all my resources and can earn income or credit on anything their athletes purchase. If you clicked the link, you're now tagged and will receive an email soon with more details (but also feel free to book in a chat before then if you'd like).
And now for your regular injection of GRACE that I hope helps to enhance your year ahead...
Go Gracefully,
Information and inspiration to help you to grow Gracefull, inside and out
Do you take supplements as an 'insurance policy'? This was always the approach I took. But there are some really exciting advances in the world of nutrition which mean that you can more accurately track and plug your deficiencies. I recently did a DNA and Methylation test with a mere cheek swab revealing insights into my nutrient levels, skin, sleep, metabolism and, most usefully, my fitness predispositions.
the key findings that would have been useful to know in shaping the way I trained as a pro - in particular my high injury risk. Cross-training should have been my ally, not a foe.
I hasten to add that this isn't an AD. As such no discount codes I'm afraid. Just sharing some info I wish I'd known earlier!
GROW GRACEFULL Your monthly infusion of good stuff Hello Reader, I hope you're well and springy! Feels good to finally train in the light again, hey?! I'm excited to share with you another batch of GRACE from this month's musings and experiments - not least in the realm of AI. In recent weeks I've used it to help create training and rehab programmes, technique analyses, presentations, book summaries, magazine articles, awkward emails, codes of conduct, go-to-market strategies, pitch decks,...
GROW GRACEFULL Your monthly injection of good stuff Hello Reader, I hope you're well and keeping on keeping on! I often like to use this period to 'go underground' and spend some time researching and upskilling. This year the focus has been on doing a deep dive into technology advances in the world of technique analysis to help guide an exciting project I am embarking on with Sheffield Hallam University... Which has unearthed other potential opportunities... Watch this space is all I can say...
GROW GRACEFULL Your monthly injection of good stuff Hello Reader, I hope you're well and having a fabulous festive season! I confess there was a delay in getting my festive juices flowing this year: I almost forgot it was December training out in the bright sunshine of Kenya! And what a trip! The aim was always to create a camp with a difference where you could both give back to yourself and give back to others. This self-selected a fabulous group that embraced every element of the camp. I...
