I hope you're well and having a great summer (if you're up this half of the world!).
A highlight for me was the great, great privilege of popping over to Paris for a few days for some Olympics action (see below!).
Hard to believe the track season now nearly over! I hope it's been a good one where applicable; you've had some time out; and now have some exciting goals to refocus on... If you'd like a little helping hand to get clear and resolute, I'd love to have you along to my Whole Goals free online 90 min workshop Sunday 1st Sept, 4pm GMT. See below for more details! (If you've missed it you can still sign up for the resources and recording).
As well as for a few other new ways we can connect should you wish!
Until next time, thanks for being here and...
Go Gracefully,
โ
(P.S. Those more eagle-eyed amongst you may have noticed there was no July newsletter. Sorry about that. We run summer camps in my other business. I dislike using the work 'hectic', but...! ;-))
Information and inspiration to help you to grow Gracefull, inside and out
I was lucky enough to get tickets to go out with my mum and a friend to see Keely win gold (no footage of that as we were jumping around like crazies!! ๐คช). And then Mondo... I'll never forget how the stadium erupted ๐ฅ. โ I came away with both a lingering tingle of adrenaline mixed with a more grounded sense of the world being full of wonderful people. You can't beat multi-national sporting events for drawing out joviality and friendliness. There's a lot of rubbish going on in the world, but don't forget to look for and trust in the goodness. โ My trip was topped off by a brief catch up with my dear friend Janeth Jepkosgei, former World 800m Champion, now coach for the Olympic refugee team. I can't wait for our trip out to Kenya in Nov where we'll be going to visit her and her athletes...
If any children in your life have been inspired by the Olympics, you might be interested to read this article I contributed to with some tips on the sort of language and conversations to have with them to nurture a healthy relationship with sport.

My latest musical obsession to help fuel your training (or recovery)!
Grateful - Rita Ora
The root meaning of the word 'grace' is gratitude. Carrying the lyrics of this song with you through challenges will help you to stay in a 'grace space'.

"The work you are doing is so incredibly important; teenage girls, are so vulnerable to the society that we now live in, (particularly, teenage female athletes) who are susceptible to body image issues and relative energy deficiency, which can have such devastating effects on their lives not just in the present but throughout their lives. Having such a knowledgeable and empathetic role model as yourself to help girls (and their families!) navigate their way through is a privilege and blessing that can't be overstated."
I am now recruiting a new cohort of Gracefull Girls for the year ahead. If you know of anyone that would like to work on their strength and conditioning and mindset, I'd love to hear from them (RSVP here is easiest!).
I set up the programme to share information that I wish I'd had as an up and coming athlete - in terms of the science, but also in terms of knowing what's acceptable and unacceptable when it comes to pursuing high performance. In so doing I hope to help contribute to creating a healthier environment in athletics than what I sometimes encountered...
GROW GRACEFULL Your monthly infusion of good stuff Hello Reader, I hope you're well and springy! Feels good to finally train in the light again, hey?! I'm excited to share with you another batch of GRACE from this month's musings and experiments - not least in the realm of AI. In recent weeks I've used it to help create training and rehab programmes, technique analyses, presentations, book summaries, magazine articles, awkward emails, codes of conduct, go-to-market strategies, pitch decks,...
GROW GRACEFULL Your monthly injection of good stuff Hello Reader, I hope you're well and keeping on keeping on! I often like to use this period to 'go underground' and spend some time researching and upskilling. This year the focus has been on doing a deep dive into technology advances in the world of technique analysis to help guide an exciting project I am embarking on with Sheffield Hallam University... Which has unearthed other potential opportunities... Watch this space is all I can say...
GROW GRACEFULL Your monthly injection of good stuff Hello Reader, I hope you're well and your year is off to a solid start with resolutions and routines still intact! Mine's been great so far... I really enjoyed hosting a fully-booked Strength and Conditioning for Youth Athletes online workshop at the start of the year, sharing a pre-run activation and a home workout with 50 keen coaches and athletes. Watch this space for more such support down the line... Last weekend I headed off to the...
